The U.S. has confirmed that Pyongyang had sent troops to fight for Russia against Ukraine.

North Korea has sent at least 3,000 troops to eastern Russia this month, both Washington and Seoul confirmed, with the White House saying that any soldiers deployed on the battlefield would be "fair game."

South Korea's president on Thursday raised the possibility of supplying Ukraine with weapons while stressing that his government "won't sit idle" as North Korea allegedly sends troops to support Russia's aggression toward its neighbor.
